Loyal Company account book, August 8, 1791-November 9, 1807.

The Loyal Company paid £ 600 into the commonwealth's treasury in August 1791 in composition money for fees. This volume lists the surveys credited against that account, recording the date, the name of the land's proprietor, the number of acres in the tract, and the fee charged. Inverted and reversed in the back of the volume is a ledger for a general store. With an index to the debtors, this section is arranged chronologically for the period December 1781-March 1782. Several of the debtors, including Land Office register Colonel John Harvie, have names common in the city of Richmond, but the firm is not identified.
